Budget livestream build (under ~150 seats)

A concrete cart for a fixed sanctuary of about 50 to 150 seats, run by one or two volunteers. One back-wall PTZ, a hardware switcher you can hand to a late substitute, a pastor lav into the mix, a mount, and a 50 ft HDMI run. It is not a second-camera plan and not a broadcast truck.

Street prices below are heroes copied from the SKU pages. Those pages may be older than today. Carts move. Confirm the cart. No affiliate links on this site.

Core recommend stack

These are the recommend pieces this site already lists. ATEM Mini Pro ISO is the default switcher buy (record plus stream), not the cheaper Pro.

Buy Scarlett or MG10XU, not both. Scarlett 2i2 if the house board already exists and you only need a clean dump into the laptop or stream box. MG10XU if you still need FOH plus a stereo USB dump. One BLX14/CVL channel is enough on day one.

Ballpark street total

Dated 2026-10-20. Arithmetic uses the hero streets in the table above. SKU pages may be older than today. This is not an offer. Confirm the cart.

PathArithmeticBallpark
Scarlett (board exists)$1,349 + $585 + $359 + $224.99 + $90 + $100.06$2,708.05
MG-XU (need FOH)$1,349 + $585 + $359 + $324.99 + $90 + $100.06$2,808.05

The MG-XU path uses the B&H price ($324.99, 2026-10-20). Guitar Center showed MG10XU at about $250.74 on sale on 2026-09-12. If that sale is still live, the MG-XU path drops about $74.25 ($324.99 minus $250.74), to about $2,733.80. Do not count on a sale.

Optional lights

Add lights only when the sanctuary is dim and faces go noisy on the PTZ.

PieceListingHero streetSKU page date
Daylight COBSL100Dabout $1792026-09-14
SoftboxSoftbox 60x90about $39.992026-09-17

That pair is about $218.99 on top of either core path (Scarlett plus lights about $2,927.04; MG-XU plus lights about $3,027.04). The light stand is buy-separately hold (not a listing on this site). Bare COB without a softbox or bounce is a skip look on faces.

Honest verdict

Recommend this stack as the default under-~150 build: Move SE 20x, ATEM Mini Pro ISO, one BLX14/CVL, Scarlett 2i2 or MG10XU, HCM-1, and a 50 ft Active HDMI. It is the cart a late substitute can still run. Pastor audio and a clean mix beat a second camera every time.

The tight-budget hold path is a decoded Amazon PTZ (FoMaKo or Tenveo 20x) in place of Move SE. Hold it until SKU name, warranty, and Saturday support are clear. Do not treat that path as the hero on this page. You save money on the body and you own the support risk.

This page is a dated cart, not a complete AV design. Lighting, copyright, and volunteers who will actually show up still matter.
