PTZOptics Move 4K
A 4K60 PTZ camera with built-in auto-tracking. Three zoom bodies (12x, 20x, 30x), gray or white. HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, USB-A, and IP. NDI HX3 is native. Power from the included 12V brick or from PoE+.
This is the 4K body of PTZOptics’ Move line. It is not the Move SE. Most small-church streams do not need 4K.
Who it is for
Seat count and room, not marketing names. Official tracking distance is the useful number.

If you only buy one 4K body, buy the 20x unless the room is short enough that 12x stays wide, or long enough that 20x cannot fill a face.
Most small churches should buy none of these. Buy the Move SE 20x instead.
Volunteer skill
- USB-A into a laptop running OBS or Wirecast: a Sunday volunteer who can plug in a cable. This port is USB 2.0 Type A, not the USB-C on Move SE. Pack the A-A cable that ships in the box.
- HDMI or SDI into a switcher: someone who already runs a hardware or software switcher. The 30x G3 spec sheet says HDMI and SDI are not simultaneous. Do not plan on two baseband cables at once.
- PoE+ plus NDI: needs a PoE+ (802.3at) switch. An 802.3af injector that runs a Move SE will often leave this camera dead.
Auto-tracking reaches farther than Move SE. It is still not a second camera operator. It will still lose the pastor in a dim sanctuary, or when the worship team fills the frame.
Standout details
Facts from the G3 spec sheets and the current PTZOptics product pages (fetched 2026-08-29):
- 4K60 on HDMI 2.0 and IP. 1080p60 on 3G-SDI. 12x uses a 1/2.5 inch CMOS, 8.51M pixels. 20x and 30x use a 1/1.8 inch CMOS, 8.42M pixels. Move SE is 1080p on a 1/2.8 inch 2.07M sensor. The larger 20x/30x sensor is the real picture upgrade, even if you output 1080p.
- Auto-tracking is built in (Presenter-Lock on the current product pages). 12x tracks to 200 ft, 20x to 250 ft, 30x to 300 ft. Move SE’s official distances are 60 / 100 / 120 ft.
- Outputs: HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, USB 2.0 Type A, and IP. H.264 / H.265 / MJPEG. RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS, SRT. NDI HX3 is native. No paid license. Horizon control software ships with the camera.
- HDMI and SDI: the 30x G3 spec writes “HDMI & SDI are not simultaneous.” Move SE can feed HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB-C, and IP at the same time. If Sunday needs two baseband cables, stay on Move SE or test a 4K body before you buy a pair.
- Digital zoom is off at 4K. At 1080p the spec allows 2x, which is the “SuperZoom” the product pages advertise (24x / 40x / 60x total). That is a 1080p crop, not extra 4K glass.
- PoE+ (802.3at) or 12V. Spec sheet max draw is 18W. One Ethernet drop can do power, control, and NDI or IP video if the switch is actually PoE+.
- 255 presets, VISCA / Pelco over RS-232 and RS-485, IR remote in the box. Built-in tally light.
- Five-year warranty. Indoor only. 0.5 lux at F1.8 with AGC on. Fine for a typical sanctuary; not a night-exterior camera.
- Colors: gray or white. Status on this site uses words, not color-only cues.

Honest verdict
Hold. This is the right camera when you already need 4K, native NDI HX3, or tracking past about 100 ft. It is the wrong first camera for a small church that streams 1080p.
Skip the whole Move 4K line if your stream is 1080p to YouTube or Facebook, your switcher is HDMI or SDI at 1080p, and a Move SE 20x can fill a face from the back wall. That money belongs on a second camera, lights, a PoE switch you already understand, or the SE body.
Buy the 20x only if you have a 4K path, a house that records 4K, or a sanctuary long enough that SE tracking (100 ft) is not enough. Buy the 12x only if the room is short and you want the wider 72.5° shot. Buy the 30x only if the camera sits far back and 20x cannot fill a face.
Auto-tracking is worth it for a one-person Sunday. It is not worth pretending the camera will follow a pastor into the aisles in the dark. Set presets for wide, pulpit, and music stand. Use tracking as a helper, not the only plan.
PoE+ is the trap. A volunteer who already has an 802.3af switch for Move SE will plug this in and get no picture. Budget a PoE+ switch or use the 12V brick.
Compared with Move SE: you pay about double for 4K60, a larger sensor on the 20x and 30x, farther official tracking, native NDI HX3, a tally light, and USB-A instead of USB-C. If none of those change Sunday, skip 4K.
