- Hold YoloBox for a fixed booth that already likes ATEM buttons. YoloBox fits when the room is portable, there is no PC in the booth, or you want vertical social plus a horizontal church stream. Ultra is the buy inside that family. The family verdict on this site stays hold.

- Magewell is the laptop and encode path. Hold it when the job is a cut-bus. Buy USB Capture HDMI Plus when HDMI has to enter a laptop running OBS. Buy Ultra Encode when a switcher you already own does not stream and you need SRT or NDI HX. The family verdict stays hold.

- Hold Elgato Cam Link. Cam Link 4K is one unencrypted HDMI into a laptop running OBS. It is the cheaper volunteer capture path next to Magewell. It has no cut-bus and no HDMI loop. Buy Magewell USB Capture HDMI Plus when that HDMI must also feed a monitor. Cam Link Pro is a four-HDMI desktop PCIe card, not a laptop dongle, and not the buy on that page. Two to four HDMI sources stay on ATEM Mini Pro ISO.

Do not buy it for a second camera. Roland all-in-one (onboard audio plus a direct LAN stream): hold Roland VR-6HD. It does not replace Pro ISO. Read the buyer’s guide and the under ~150 seats cart before you open a cart.
Software-only path
Hold the hardware buy when the volunteer already lives in OBS or Wirecast and one or two cameras are enough. OBS and Wirecast stay off this directory. No-laptop path
Hold YoloBox against ATEM in a fixed booth. Buy Ultra only after you have decided you want the computer-free box, or you need vertical Instagram or TikTok plus YouTube and you do not want a separate encoder. Hold Pro. B&H has discontinued it. Skip Extreme unless five to eight HDMI sources, or free NDI, are real.
Laptop and encode path
Hold Magewell as a first switcher. It has no cut-bus. USB Capture HDMI Plus is the hero when HDMI must enter OBS and still loop to a monitor. Ultra Encode fits after a switcher that does not stream, when you need SRT or NDI HX. Hold Elgato Cam Link when the path is one HDMI into a laptop running OBS and a loop is not required. Cam Link 4K is that dongle. Cam Link Pro is a desktop PCIe card, not the laptop path. If you need buttons, buy ATEM Mini Pro ISO.
