Wireless GO
Creator 2.4 GHz kit. Skip it as the sanctuary pastor mic. BLX14/CVL stays the first lav.
Why this is here: eighth pastor-audio SKU, the creator wireless people buy because a video said “lav.” It is not a camera. It is not a switcher. It does not take the recommend from BLX14/CVL.
The clear current cart is Wireless GO (Gen 3), Rode SKU WIGOGEN3 (black). Rode’s US page for that kit is live and not discontinued. The previous Wireless GO II (WIGOII, and the single-transmitter WIGOIISINGLE) is marked discontinued on Rode’s US page, and the store record is NotForSale. Do not hunt a leftover GO II to be the pastor mic. Same skip either way.
This is a 2.4 GHz creator kit: two clip-on transmitters and one small receiver. The receiver’s analog jack is 3.5 mm TRRS. Digital out is USB-C. There is no XLR into the sanctuary mixer. You still need a pastor mic on the board. That mic is BLX14/CVL.
Who it is for
The job, not the Rode name. A sanctuary pastor mic is UHF into the mix. This kit is a camera or phone wireless.
| Need / room | What you actually get | Fit |
|---|---|---|
| First wireless pastor lav into the board | Analog UHF kit already on this site | Stay on BLX14/CVL. Skip Wireless GO. |
| Analog is maxed, stay in Shure | Digital UHF bodypack and a WL185m | Stay on SLX-D. Skip Wireless GO. |
| Sennheiser digital, app setup, metal half-rack | EW-D ME2 SET | Stay on EW-D. Skip Wireless GO. |
| You already need networked Shure receivers | QLXD14/93, and that page is already hold | Stay on QLX-D. Skip Wireless GO. |
| Overflow room needs the sermon | A line from the house mix, because the pastor is already on the board | Skip Wireless GO. A second 2.4 GHz hop through the wall is the wrong feed. |
| Phone or camera interview (a testimony, two people, a creator shoot) | Gen 3 clip kit into 3.5 mm or USB-C | Still skip on this page. That job is not the sanctuary pastor mic, and it does not earn a hold on the pastor ladder. |
If you only buy one wireless pastor lav, buy BLX14/CVL. Wireless GO is not the cheap version of that kit, and it is not the next step after it.
Volunteer skill
- Clip the transmitter and plug the receiver into a camera or a phone: that is the product’s Sunday, and it is a content shoot. It is not “patch XLR and leave the frequency alone.”
- No band pick. There is no H9, G50, or Q1-6 carton. The radio is 2.4 GHz, the same band as sanctuary Wi-Fi and the phones in the pews. Rode’s Series IV copy says the link is built for dense 2.4 GHz. That claim does not move it onto the UHF pastor path.
- Built-in lithium-ion, up to 7 hours, charged by USB-C. The charging hub is in the box. Someone still has to charge both packs before the service. There is no AA fallback.
- Onboard 32-bit float is a file you pull later. If the link drops during the sermon, the livestream is already quiet. The backup does not fix the stream.
- Mixer path: still required, and this receiver does not provide it. The included analog cable is 3.5 mm TRS (SC2), not an XLR into the board.
Standout details
Facts from the Rode Wireless GO (Gen 3) product page, the Gen 3 datasheet, the Wireless GO II page, and live carts (fetched 2026-09-22). Prefer the datasheet for the jack, the range, and the battery. Prefer the dated carts for street price. B&H returned HTTP 403, so it is not a price source.
- Hero kit WIGOGEN3: two transmitters, one receiver, SC33 charging hub, SC2 3.5 mm TRS cable, SC21 USB-C to Lightning cable, SC22 USB-C to USB-C cable, three furry windshields, and a carry pouch. Other colors on Rode.com are the same kit at the same $199 list. Black is the cart priced below.
- The box does not include a lavalier. Each transmitter has a built-in omnidirectional capsule (datasheet: 20 Hz to 20 kHz) and a locking 3.5 mm TRS jack if you add your own lav. The capsule in the box is not a CVL, not a WL185m, and not an ME 2.
- Radio: Series IV 2.4 GHz digital, 128-bit encryption. Datasheet transmission range is 260 m line of sight (about 853 ft). That number is line of sight. It is not a sanctuary full of people, pews, and a Wi-Fi mesh.
- Rode calls the codec near-zero latency. The datasheet does not publish a millisecond figure. Do not treat a missing number as a measured latency.
- Receiver analog output is 3.5 mm TRRS (headphone monitoring or an audio jack). Digital connectivity is USB-C. No XLR. No half-rack. No Dante. No antenna distribution.
- Onboard record: 32-bit float, 32 GB on each transmitter, Rode’s “over 40 hours” of backup. GainAssist and a safety channel are camera-record tools. They do not put the pastor on the stream mix.
- Battery: in-built rechargeable lithium-ion, USB-C charge (datasheet: 5 V, 0.4 A). Operating time up to 7 hours. A rehearsal plus a long service can spend that. The charger is in the hero box. The time limit is still real.
- Warranty: the Rode product record for WIGOGEN3 (record updated 2026-09-15) has warranty 5. Rode’s warranty terms article lists Wireless GO (Gen 3) at 5 years extended. That article also says the base limited warranty is one year from purchase, and the extension requires the original buyer to register. A direct fetch of the terms article hit a bot check on 2026-09-22, so the registration sentence is the published terms table, not a second live HTML read. Sweetwater advertises its own free 2-year coverage on this cart. That is the store’s coverage, not a second Rode term.
- Wireless GO II is the previous generation. On this fetch the US page is discontinued and NotForSale. Gen 3 is the current cart. Skipping GO II does not make Gen 3 a pastor lav.
- Related pages: BLX14/CVL, SLX-D, EW-D, QLX-D, SM58. Side-by-side: compare wireless lav. Pastor path: Audio first on Sunday.
- Status on this site uses words (recommend / hold / skip), not color-only cues.
Rechecked 2026-10-20: Sweetwater listed the Wireless GO III dual kit at $169.99 in stock, unchanged.
Earlier check, 2026-09-22, live carts: Sweetwater Wireless GO III $169.99 in stock (was $199.00). That is the hero street price. Amazon.com, sold by Amazon.com, $169.99 in stock (ASIN B0DN1PGH94). Rode.com list $199 (schema.org, no stock flag). B&H returned HTTP 403. Confirm the cart. No affiliate link on this page.
Honest verdict
Skip Wireless GO as a sanctuary pastor mic. The current cart is WIGOGEN3 (Gen 3). Do not let it take the recommend from BLX14/CVL.
It is the wrong radio and the wrong connector. BLX, SLX-D, and EW-D are UHF into a mixer. QLX-D is the further Shure half-rack, and that page is already hold. Wireless GO is 2.4 GHz into a camera jack. Onboard recording does not keep the livestream up. Two transmitters do not make it a dual-pastor system for the board.
Overflow is not a niche for this box. Feed the overflow room from the house mix. A phone interview or a testimony shoot is the job Rode describes, and it is a different cart from Sunday. That use does not earn a hold on the pastor ladder. If the pastor has to walk, buy BLX.
Honest limits: line-of-sight range is not the room, 2.4 GHz is the Wi-Fi band, the included mic is an omni clip-on, a lav is extra, battery life is about 7 hours with no AA fallback, latency in milliseconds is unpublished, and you still need an XLR path this receiver does not have. This kit does not replace a camera or a switcher. It does not replace the pastor mic.
