SLX-D
Why this is here: second pastor-audio SKU after BLX14/CVL. It is not a camera. It is not a switcher.
A Shure digital UHF wireless family. The current line is SLX-D+: wide 138 MHz tuning, ShowLink Ease, AES-256, and Digital Feedback Reducer. Original SLX-D single receivers are disappearing from B&H (No Longer Available / Updated Model Available). This is the digital upgrade from analog BLX, not a replacement for a Move SE or an ATEM Mini.
For a small-church pastor who needs digital wireless and a hands-free lav, the default kit is SLXD14+/85M (SLXD4+ receiver, SLXD1+ bodypack, WL185m lav). If leftover original SLXD14/85 with WL185 is still in stock cheaper, that kit is still a fair buy. Adjacent handheld: SLXD24+/58 (SM58) for worship lead or announcements. Dual receiver SLXD4D+ only when two simultaneous digital channels are real.
This sits in front of the mixer. You still need an XLR path from the receiver into the sanctuary mix and into the stream.

Need and skill, not marketing names. Whether analog BLX already works, and how many digital channels must be live at once, is the useful number.

If you only buy one digital wireless pastor lav for a small church, buy SLXD14+/85M. Buy leftover SLXD14/85 instead when that cart is still cheaper and in stock. G57 wide-tune on the + line is the simpler inventory pick.
Volunteer skill
- IR sync and Guided Frequency Setup: Sunday-viable after one rehearsal. A volunteer who can sync the pack, check the receiver, and leave the frequency alone.
- Band still matters. G57 wide-tune on SLX-D+ is simpler inventory than juggling original G58 / H55 / J52 leftovers. Do the band pick before purchase, not on the first Sunday.
- AA or optional SB903 Li-ion (about 8 hours). Someone still has to check batteries before service. Rechargeables are an extra, not in the hero street price.
- Mixer / XLR into sanctuary and stream: still required. The receiver has XLR. Someone has to patch it.
- Mobile ShowLink / Wireless Workbench: optional power-user tools. Not required day one.

Honest verdict
Recommend SLX-D (prefer current SLX-D+ bodypack lav kit SLXD14+/85M, or original SLXD14/85 if it is still cheaper in stock) as the default digital upgrade when BLX analog is not enough.
Recommend SLXD24+/58 for handheld worship or announcements. Recommend SLXD4D+ only when two simultaneous digital channels are real.
Skip if BLX14/CVL at about $359 already solves the room. Hold the EW-D comparison for its own later page.
Honest limits: about 2 times the BLX price, band still matters, still need a mixer path, rechargeables are an optional extra, and the + features (ShowLink, Digital Feedback Reducer) help volunteers but are not magic. This kit does not replace a camera or a switcher. It sits in front of the mixer.
