PT-CM-1
Default flush ceiling mount for Move SE and other small-base PTZs. Match the camera color.
Why this is here: second mounts SKU after HCM-1. It is not a camera. It is the flush ceiling plate a Move SE hangs from when the back wall is the wrong place.
A small universal ceiling mount from PTZOptics. Hero SKUs are PT-CM-1-BK (black) and PT-CM-1-WH (white). Two pieces: a ceiling bracket and a camera bracket, joined with three safety screws. The live PTZOptics mounts page lists this plate for small-base bodies, including Move SE. HCM-1 stays the back-wall recommend.
This is a bracket. It does not replace Move SE, HCM-1, or an ATEM Mini.
Who it is for
Ceiling or junction box, not a second wall tray. HCM-1 already owns the back wall. This page owns the flush overhead hang for the same small-base camera.
| Need / room | What you actually get | Fit |
|---|---|---|
| Move SE or other small-base PTZ on a ceiling or a junction box | Two-piece flush plate, 1/4-20 screw, black or white | Recommend PT-CM-1. Match the camera color. |
| Same camera on a back wall | The wall tray already on this site | Stay on HCM-1. |
| Open or vaulted ceiling that needs a drop pipe | Small-base pole on 1 inch NPT | Hold PT-CM-1. That job is HCM-1C. |
| Move 4K 30X or Link 4K 30X | Larger ceiling plate | Hold PT-CM-1. That job is PT-CM-3. |
| Camera already sits on HCM-1 or another safe Sunday home | A ceiling plate you do not need | Skip. |
If the camera hangs from a drop ceiling or a junction box, buy PT-CM-1 in the camera color. If it hangs on the back wall, buy HCM-1. Do not buy both for one camera.
Volunteer skill
- One person with a drill, and a junction box or solid structure overhead.
- The install manual allows wood screws, or drywall screws with conical anchors, or box screws. Drywall anchors over a congregation are not a forever Sunday plan. Prefer wood, masonry, or a junction box.
- Bolt the camera bracket to the camera base first. Do not bottom out the 1/4-20 screw. The manual says to use one or two washers as a spacer.
- Slide that bracket into the ceiling plate and install the three safety screws.
- The body hangs under the plate. Confirm the picture is right-side up in the camera before Sunday.
- Not a pole install. Not a first-Sunday “set it on the pulpit” job either.
Standout details
Facts from the PTZOptics mounts page (fetched 2026-09-22), the PT-CM-1 install manual, the Rev 1.1 datasheet, and live retailer carts. Prefer the manufacturer pages for fit and hardware. Prefer the in-stock Aztek cart for the hero street price.
- Heavy-gauge steel. Two-piece flush ceiling mount. About 5.56 in wide by 6.5 in long. Bracket weight about 1.0 lb (0.45 kg) on the Rev 1.1 sheet. The sheet does not publish a rated load. Fit is the camera list, not a pound number.
- Industry-standard 1/4-20 camera screw. The manual’s box list: ceiling bracket, camera bracket, one 1/4-20 screw, two washers, three M3 safety screws, U.S. box screws, European box screws, and wood or drywall screws with anchors. The Rev 1.1 sheet lists two #10 screws and two anchors. The manual lists four of each. Confirm the box.
- Mounts to the ceiling, a U.S. single-gang device box, a U.S. 4 in square, round, or octagonal junction box, or a European single-gang box with a 60 mm hole pattern. Slotted holes for leveling.
- Black or white. Match the camera. Status on this site uses words (recommend / hold / skip), not color-only cues.
- Warranty notes differ. The Rev 1.1 datasheet (model line PT-CM-1-BK) and the Markertek pages print a 3-year manufacturer warranty. The live PTZOptics ceiling section says the ceiling mounts are backed by a 10-year warranty. Confirm the warranty on the invoice, not the marketing paragraph.
- Fit from the live mounts page, not the old “all PTZOptics cameras” line. PT-CM-1 lists Move SE 12X, 20X, and 30X, Move 4K 12X and 20X, and Link 4K 12X and 20X. Move 4K 30X and Link 4K 30X are on PT-CM-3. The Rev 1.1 sheet still says all PTZOptics cameras. Prefer the live list.
- This plate is not a pole. The same mounts page lists HCM-1C as the small-base pole (1 inch NPT) for the same small cameras, and PT-PM-3 for the large 30X bodies. Hold HCM-1C unless the ceiling is open or vaulted and you already know you need the pipe. No HCM-1C street price on this page.
- The live pole section says those pole mounts are USA-made. The ceiling section does not say that about PT-CM-1. Do not copy the pole claim onto this plate.
- This is not a camera. Move SE is the default PTZ this plate is for. HCM-1 stays the wall recommend.
- Related family on this page: PT-CM-1-BK, PT-CM-1-WH. Adjacent, not this buy: HCM-1C, PT-CM-3. Related pages: HCM-1, Move SE, Move 4K, ATEM Mini.
Rechecked 2026-10-20: B&H listed the PT-CM-1-WH at $75.00 in stock.
Earlier check, 2026-09-22, live carts: Aztek PT-CM-1-WH $82.08 in stock (MPN PT-CM-1-WH, UPC 737993160250, 10 available). That is the hero street price. Aztek PT-CM-1-BK $83.36 in stock (MPN PT-CM-1-BK, 4 available). Ignore the black page’s TV and projector blurb. Markertek both colors $75.00, list $89.00, out of stock, usually ships in 5 to 14 days (item PTZ-PT-CM-1-WH, MFG PT-CM-1-WH and PT-CM-1-BK). OfficeWonderland both colors $60.00, sold out. B&H, Adorama, Full Compass, Sweetwater, and Pro AV Warehouse did not return a cart this fetch. Confirm the cart. No affiliate link on this page.
Honest verdict
Recommend PT-CM-1 as the default flush ceiling mount when the camera is Move SE or another small-base PTZ on the live PT-CM-1 list, and the hang is a ceiling or a junction box. Buy black or white to match the camera. Street is about $82 at Aztek for white this fetch (black was $83.36, also in stock). Markertek was $75 and out of stock.
HCM-1 stays the back-wall recommend. Do not swap them.
Hold HCM-1C unless the ceiling is open or vaulted and the camera needs a 1 inch NPT pole. Hold PT-CM-3 unless the body is Move 4K 30X or Link 4K 30X.
Skip the plate if the camera already has a safe home on HCM-1 or another mount. A ceiling bracket is not required for a camera that already has a safe wall.
Honest limits: the datasheet publishes no rated load, drywall-only anchors are not a forever plan over people, this plate does not fit Move 4K 30X or Link 4K 30X, it is not a pole, and a mount is not a camera or a switcher.
